Cherry-plum flavours run alongside strawberry and pomegranate, with a lick of integrated smoky oak helping to tie it all logether. This wine is attractive and enjoyable from start lo finish."

Winemaker Notes: Grown on the cool slopes of our Kenton Valley Vineyard, high in the Adelaide Hills, 2024 was an excellent growing season. The season enabled freshness and vibrance at lower baumes, which then preserved acidity and the clean fruit profile in the finished wine. The VS Pinot Noir is picked from three separate parcels of vines all of which are different clones. Along with the fruit quality, this adds complexity of character to the wine. The inclusion of 10% whole bunch fruit adds mouthfeel and whole of mouth tannins.

Tasting Notes: The wine delivers an essence of dark cherries and ripe raspberries that draws you into the glass. Savoury, earthy elements and sweet vanilla spice tantalize the senses. Oak ageing has resulted in silky ripe tannins layered with fresh red fruits while a touch of brown spice lingers on the back palate.

5 STARS WINERY AWARD - JAMES HALLIDAY WINE COMPANION

"Every year, tasting the new releases of Mike Press Wines fills me with a sense of wonder: how is it possible that such BEAUTIFULLY MADE WINES should have such IMPOSSIBLY LOW PRICES? - James Halliday

After working in the South Australian wine industry for over 40 years – from Penfolds under Max Schubert, to Seppelt, and finally to Mildara Blass as chief winemaker – Mike purchased the property in Kenton Valley, near Lobethal in the Adelaide Hills, in 1998. The family company has been proud to have set the benchmark for producing quality wine at an outstanding prices. What started out as an idyllic retirement plan for Mike and Judy Press, became a thriving business offering amazingly affordable wines to Australia and then to the world. In 2017, Bob and Yuko Harris, a couple who were just as passionate about wine and South Australia, purchased Mike Press Wines and continue the great legacy.
